PROJECT 4/5: JUAN P. TORRES

Reflection; This was my first time using photoshop/illustrator so i was working at a rather slow pace, i doubted myself for my lack of digital art skills but i think these pieces turned out really abstract-looking, definitely liked the designs i came up with. My first composition was originally a picture of the Maccabees building, and i sort of played around rotating the same image and changed the way some buildings were shaded but overall i was experimenting with it. Believe it or not the green and blue one was a picture of some tree just outside of class, i was struggling with the tracing tool, but at the end i decided to just let it be because i really digged the texture it had created, i was expecting to see a more organic tree with branches but i knew i had to come up with something, i wasn't going to stress too much on it because i had to focus on the other projects as well. Other than the fact that i was progressing slowly, it was interesting creating this stuff, i hope to gain more experience with it because it sure opens more doors in the art world.

Reflection: The images that i chose consist of mostly buildings around Wayne state with a few landscape and pictures from passed trips. I'd say i mainly focused on unity, rhythm & some emphasis, these were one of the few great pictures i managed to take, i'm not too experienced with photography editing, but i arranged the pictures in a way that made kind of sense to me. It flows like a wave when i see it, so i think it works.
